Servos safe to directly connect to Au V1

Just a quick question, are the Micro servo 9gs safe to plug into an Alchitry Au v1?

Hello,

It should not cause damage to the board if it does not send voltage on the PWN pin, but it’s not sure that they will work because they expect a 5v PWM signal and the FPGA can do only 3.3v max.
So maybe the threshold is 2.5v and it will work, either it’s higher and the servo will behave incorrectly and not move at all.

I’ve had mixed luck with not boosting the 3.3V to 5V for servos. I’d generally recommend a level shifter for it.
