PT V2 Documentation / Kicad / Altium Sample data

Dear all,

I have a design for the AU V1 board and want to migrate to Platinum V2 boards (3 boards are ordered). I am missing a bit of documentation. While for the AU V2 board, there is a “Pinout and Trace Length” / “Drawing” on the Alchitry Au V2 - SparkFun Electronics site, it is not for the PT-V2.

Further, does anybody have an Altium or Kicad Schematic / PCB sample available for the V2? I found Autodesk Fusion sample in the V2 → V1 Adapter incompatibility - General - Alchitry Forum post. But unfortunately I have no Fusion to write it out as Kicad to import into Altium.

Best regards,

Tom

Here’s an example element layout in Eagle 9.x format. You should be able to import this into Altium.

Demo.zip (29.8 KB)

I’ll look into getting the trace lengths for the Pt published. For the pinout, take a look at the schematic here https://cdn.alchitry.com/docs/Pt-V2/Alchitry%20Platinum%20Rev%20A.pdf

Thanks a lot for the fast response and the eagle files. I started with the redesign of our shields. The less timing critical goes on the top of platinum (some IO interfaces), but for the lower shield we plan for some timing critical ADC. Here it would be good to get the trace length in the next 1-2 monthes.

Thanks a again!

Here’s the Pt pinout and trace length data Alchitry Pt V2 Pinout - Google Sheets

I’ve also updated its product page to have a link for it.

Great! Thanks a lot for the fast providing of the trace lengths!

I just recognized that you added also drawing to the Pt board site.
I am not sure if this is by intention (as connectors are at the same position), but the link is going to the AU drawing (Sheet1), instead of to a Pt drawing.

Yeah there’s only the drawing using the Au since the Pt positions are identical. If you need really detailed placement info, there is a full 3D model.

Thanks a lot. Right, currently using the 3D model to check, that no through hole components touch the PT components.
