Issues getting started with Alchitry Labs IDE 2.0.39

Hello. I’m a new user of the current Alchrity Labs (2.0.39) on Windows 11. Initially I downloaded and unzipped the .zip download. I found the Alchrity Labs exe in the bin folder. The IDE starts but when I try to MyFirstProject, the program seems to crash with a message popup stating “unknown error”. Upon restarting, I immediately get that same error. When I click on OK it shuts down/closes.

I then tried the Windows installer and it says:

“This app package’s publisher certificate could not be verified. Contact your system administrator or the app developer to obtain a new app package with verified certificates. The root certificate and all immediate certificates of the signature in the app package must be verified (0x800B010A)”

So I cannot install it. I don’t know how I can resolve this issue.

I had already installed Vivado as instructed. I have another question about this but will post in a different thread as it’s unrelated to this issue I’m having.

Please can someone help with these issues, or are they known bugs? Thank you.

edit: I tried the zip version on my other Win 11 Laptop and get the same problem.

I just saw that there is a new version, 2.0.40 Beta, and I can confirm that this one is now working from the zip download. At least not giving the unknown error and shittong down.

I will follow the first tutorial as far as simulating the example. My new boards that I ordered are still in transit.

Thank you for fixing the problem (whatever it was) so quick! I’m happy it’s working.

Whats the issue with the certificate request that I saw with the Windows installer?
